Nice weather for ducks…

floodA conversation overheard aboard the ark.

‘I’m not sure about this, I think we should go.’

‘We’ll be fine. Where’s your sense of adventure?’

‘Not on a boat.’

‘Oh, don’t talk wet. Have you seen that rain outside?’

‘So they reckon we’ll be flooded.’

‘And this is the safest place to be.’

‘Are you sure? Let’s face it, we don’t know this bloke from Adam.’

‘What, Noah? He seemed genuine.’

‘No, I don’t think so. I’m not staying here, cooped up with these… animals. Two by two? Pah! Spin me another. It’s all going to kick off, you know. We’re not going to be saved, we’re going to be lunch. No, sod this, I’m getting back in the water with the other ducks.’

I hope anyone affected by the floods in the UK gets the assistance they need asap.

    Hoping your home isn’t affected.

Thanks, Tom, I’m on higher ground so the house has only been wind-battered but others have not been so lucky. Anyone who does not recognise climate change as a legitimate threat is either thoroughly deluded or is making vast sums of money from it.

    Glad to hear.
I like your take on climate change deniers – a cross between the deluded and those naysaying all the way to the bank.
